Has anyone seen the movie "Civil Brand?" If so, was Lark's part big? And what do you think about the movie overall?

I've seen it! I liked the whole concept of the movie about how women are treated in correctional facilities. Sends out a message to all of those corrupt people who run those facilities. There was like a group of women who were the main characters, so Lark did have a big part. She played an 18 year old pregnant girl who killed her father or stepfather for raping her. She was also very religious in this movie. It was a nice, small budget film that got lots of good reviews and awards. You should check it out.

It came out in 2002. I actually rented it from blockbuster earlier this year and saw it recently on HBO.

I finally saw Civil Brand today on HBO. I missed the first 15 minutes, but it was pretty good. I was shocked at Lil mama's end though.

Yeah, that was pretty messed up! She played that part really well. Wish we could see her in more movies though.
