If you ask me, they changed the coverart rather quickly. I thanked LG for the simple fact that they alone had the power to change the coverart and they did. In the end, we could have written a million letters, and they could have left the coverart alone. I totally agree!

This just goes to show that if enough people voice their opinions, their opinions will be heard!
I would bet that if it weren't for the loyal SBTB fans at this forum, that cover would have never changed. This forum and this web site gather more attention that we would like to believe, and I am sure that we made a difference. Most of you saw the article on tvshowsondvd.com mentioning this forum and the site, and the uproar that we fans caused over the botched cover. I am sure that, somewhere down the line, the appropriate people got word of all these complaints and changed the cover to appease us, the fans.
Bottom line: they did what is best for business.

Tim
They must have had a contract. They would not own the rights to the show! After all the complaints that were sent out, who ever the contract was with, other than NBC, they may have been told to change the cover or else! I know it took awhile for the cover to be changed, but perhaps who ever they had the contract with had not seen the cover! I don't know how that works. The real people to thank are the fans outside the Forum and obviously the fans on the forum especially Erika, and TVshowsonDVD.

I would really appreciate a reply to this. Maybe clear up some confussion. About The First Cover, Before Lions Gate changed the cover, here are just some of the comments made by the fans directed to Lions Gate: -disrespect to Brandon Tarticoff -I officially HATE Lions Gate -probably did this on purpose, some people agreed -Erika hope your sending emails to L.G A part of Erika's e-mail: We are extremely outraged by the lack of professionalism. Fans are not fools, and we are being treated as such. We do notice the resourceful image creativity that was done with this cover and we are insulted by it. This is a complete atrocity, and we are thankful that this is the last set Lions Gate makes of this show, so we are guaranteed we will have no more of your sloppy craftsmanship. Other members as well as me, believe Lions Gate did this on purpose, and are taking us for granted. Now the new cover is out! I am very pleased with the cover, but am very confused as to why anybody is actually THANKING Lions Gate for doing this. The post titled Season 5 cover had more than 10 pages of Lions Gate in general. Now there are people that are thankful to Lions Gate? I can't even read Erika's e-mail to Lions Gate thanking them for changing the cover. The way she thanks them makes no sense to me. Please respond to this reply. I may have things all wrong, but what I gather before the cover was changed we HATED them, now they changed the cover it's like we would be more then happy if they were to do another cover if say Disney gave them a contract to do the cover for GMMB if they were to put that on DVD. Please straighten me out here!

Just because you are thanking them doesn't mean we like the company. I still don't agree with what they did but if no one thanked them what kind of fans would we be? And they didn't have to change it...they could have left it the way it was. I don't think they did it for us...I think they did it to save their butts, but what kind of fans just sit there and don't say thank you for doing something we wanted changed so strongly? I'm still not a fan of theirs...but I am thankful that the cover did get changed.

Well, if their company looks bad (and that site has thousands of visitors)...they could lose sales. I just think they knew they had to change the cover....they don't want a bad reputation.

We are thankful they listened to the fans. If it weren't for us, they would have been totally oblivious to what they had created. I thanked them because it is obvious they felt meeting the fans' concerns was something they needed to do....for business....and that is a BIG point I made clear in my first e-mail. (My last sentence.) I am sure they listened to that and chose to do what was right for business. And that's it.

Barb I read your reply and would like to thank you for responding to what I wrote. I would also like to thank you for clearing up everything that I had read, prior to and after the cover. I still don't feel thankful to them for changing the cover, because I think the first cover was such an obvious mistake, however after reading your reply I respect the fact that you wanted to thank them. You feel thankful, that's how you feel. I am a dedicated SAVED BY THE BELL fan, just like everybody else on this forum. I'm going to end my part of the discussion about Lions Gate by saying I just truly believe they were forced to change the cover and I don't believe for a second they care about us. On that note, I will no longer be posting to any replies refering to Lions Gate. I made read them, but I won't respond. My end of the discussion is closed! (after I respond to Erika's reply ) Once again thanks

Erika Thank you for responding to my post. I have to say I just don't totally agree with you! I respect your opinions, but I just don't believe they did it for us! I think they got so much flack after getting caught doing such a horrible job on the first cover, they thought they had better do another cover. I read your thank you e-mail, in in my own opinion, this is in NO way a critisicim to you, I think you were to thankful. But hell if that's how you feel I have no right to judge you on that. I think a simple "Thank you for changing the cover." would have been enough. I am thankful to you for sending that first e-mail that may have gotten the ball rolling. I think we just have our different opinions on this. On that note, I also put this in my reply to Barb, I'm going to officially end my end of the discussion over Lions Gate. This could go on for ever, and that would be pointless! There is one other thing I have to thank you for. After I read those replies when this whole thing started, then read your first e-mail, it did encourage me to try to help out as well. I didn't get any where, but the point is I tried. That felt great! Thank you for that. Just one more question. Is there still going to be a free copy for the winner? I won't be able to participate in this contest, but other members must be working there butts off to make the best cover they can. I hope the winner gets a free copy. They deserve it!

Well, QueenKelly....I can see why you wouldn't want to thank them, BUT if no one thanked them that would just go to show we didn't care in the first place. I know they didn't do it for us, and I know they don't care about the cover...but as fans I think we should thank them for changing it because WE were the ones who complained and WE should be the ones to say thank you for the change. How would you feel if this was a different circumstance? Possibly between two friendships? What kind of person walks away after the person finally gives in to what you want and you don't say thank you? Most people would find that being rude.
...I don't quite know how to make that clear, I know what I want to say but I can't quite put it into words.
I know you said you were done with the discussion but I would like to hear your response.
