I wonder if he still makes $5k per month from royalties. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that actors make more money from the first time a re-run is shown in syndication than they do each succesive time it is shown. If that is true, he may make a lot less than $5k per month from royalties. It's too bad he doesn't get any residuals from the DVDs - the studio must have made a lot of money of the sale of DVDs. It depends what his contract was with NBC. He may only be paid for the first 10 years it's in syndication, he may be paid the same overall (I think I read somewhere it's like .10 per episode, possibly??). It really depends on what they agreed on. But in 2001 he was getting paid 5,300...but that's not just from NBC, that's all of his earnings from everything. They were just stating that was his primary employer. Correct? And if that's the money from NBC then he's got even more money rolling in every month. $5,300 in 2001...he's more than likely still being paid the same, if not more (because the show is being shown more now) and he's doing stand up now. I don't think he was doing anything in 2001 except his band, right?  |

Let me clarify...that .10 is for other shows...not SBTB. I have no clue how much they're paid per episode.  |

I mean, deep down I do hope his accomplishes this.....but it doesn't neccessarily mean I agree with how he's handeling it. know what i mean?

I went onto the site and sent him an e-mail too! I just said that I don't have the money to buy a t-shirt, but that I am one of his biggest fans and hope everything works out. I also said that I can understand why he's so upset about Arthur. That guy did screw him over. I understand the situation, I'm just confused as to how I feel about it. I am one of his biggest fans and I do hope that everything works out for him, but he's making himself look so bad and people are going to be looking at him as a joke more then anything, I think. I'm a huge fan of the entire cast. I really do hope everything works out for him. I have to say, even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy the t-shirt.  |

My problem with it is that he isn't, like most people who fall victim to foreclosure, in foreclosure because he lost his job and has no money. He's in foreclosure because of a bad loan that he agreed to because of his bad credit. He has an income and certainly isn't looking at being "homeless" as he is claiming. Although many people who are foreclosed on do become homeless. He instead is going to have to move to an apartment, or another home. That makes the situation entirely different to me. Honestly I wouldn't mind helping someone out who lost there job or got in a financial pinch. That's not the case here. He made a bad deal, and he should either figure a way out of it, or move. I don't think he should claim that he is going to be homeless, which infers that he and his wife will be out on the streets. I think he should be straightforward and say I made a bad deal and now I want my fans to pay off the loan I agreed to because I don't want to have to move. I think he is really doing a disservice to those who truly become homeless for reasons beyond their control.

ROCCO, that's actually what I've been thinking too. I feel for him for having his parents spend most of his money, but if he loses this house, he won't be homeless. That web-site says that his comedy act is going great. He will still be employed and will be able to find some place else to live. I'm now truly believing that he is coming to his fans because he doesn't want to lose THIS house.
I am a huge fan of his, but this is a disservice to people that are facing foreclosure who don't have lost their jobs.
Do I believe that he would help other people who are facing foreclosure and just lost their jobs? YES
One of the other things he is asking on that web-site is for other people to come forward to tell about their stories.

I assume he's probably trying to inquire the information to post "other personal stories" on the website. So that he can feel...."i'm not alone"....know what I mean? I don't think he'll help others financially....we can see he can't even manage his own accounts. lol but he'd probably help in some other way.....maybe just being an outlet to get the message out. |
