Hey Tatfan,
Thanks! I love these two dogs. They are going to be 10 years old this year!!! We had a cat named Charlie after Charlie Brown, so we went with that theme when we got our two dogs in '97. Lucy was first, a Father's day gift from my kids and wife that June, and then Sally was a B-Day gift for my wife in August of that year from the kids and me. I feel you should always have two dogs together if possible so they can keep each other company. These two are the best of friends! Looking forward to the pics of your cat!

Hey guys...I recently purchased a DSLR, the Canon Rebel XTi. Yeah, it has only been a year since my last investment, but I have always dreamed of an SLR, and now I finally have it! So now that I have it, I have been going out and taking lots of pictures to the zoo and different parks in my hometown. I plan to take TONS more this summer and I'm going to be taking lessons if possible. My Flickr Gallery: flickr.com/photos/barbevans04/...If you have a Yahoo ID feel free to leave comments! I LOVE them! ;D

They were taken at the Pittsburgh Zoo. The only zoo I've ever been to (unless you count the Animal Kingdom in Disney World), and this was the first time I've been to it since I was 6. I'd love to go to one with more animals. They didn't have very much, which is surprising considering it's Pittsburgh. I would love to get more monkey shots and more tiger shots....and more up-close, they were all so distant. And the monkeys were behind dirty glass, and I was in a dark hallway...so most of mine turned out real blurry. The shots in the city were all taken inside a moving vehicle going about 45-65 mph...I am very impressed with how well they turned out, and there's only one or two that were cropped.
I had fun. I am going to start taking classes as soon as I find out where and when they are. After that I am going to ask for models to get more practice. I'm no where near a professional, but I love it!
