Around here, you just can't have props and you have to be dressed like you would be going to school...in other words, appropriate. I think he's going to get a couple studio shots for the yearbook, but he wouldn't have to necessarily. And thank you for your kind words guys! I just want to make sure they're something other people like and not just me. He could really care less. It's his mom that had to get on his case to even get them done. lol

Oh! And I completely forgot...not everybody gets senior portraits like here all over. Some places you get a senior portrait just for the yearbook...here (and I don't know where else), we tend to go all out and get a complete photo shoot.
I know I've ran into a few people elsewhere that they thought that was bizarre, but that's how it is. I do know it's becoming more and more common to get it done.

oh here most people get a full photo shoot too with different poses and outfits and things.just like the way you did his. theres one main place that is affiliated with my high school so they know the drill. just like the way you did his. yeah for the yearbook we had to have a certain background color and just between a few poses or something. i think you could wear whatever you wanted though. haha yeah a lot of guys really could care less about getting pictures done. i know i loved it since i never had anything like that since i was really little. when i saw them do it though it did make me think about going into photography too! lol

Well, I guess they look professional because I went to print 70 photos from Wal-Mart today and they almost didn't give them to me. I had to sign a photo release and it will be on file! I was actually happy when they told me that, and smiling. They told me sorry and I said don't be, that it was a compliment. LOL Next time I have to take all the photos on the photo card. I don't see how that will help, it works just like a jump drive/floppy...any dummy can do it, but oh well. Just thought I'd share my good news. hehe

HAHA thats awesome barb! why do you need a release though? i dont know how those things work. i bet they were like why is this girl so happy? LOL It's for liability reasons. They don't want to be held responsible for printing photos that belong to a professional. If let's say I lied and claimed them, then printed them, and I signed that paper... Well, Wal-Mart would show the courts/photographer the paper and it would say that I am held responsible for everything, and they had nothing to do with it. But since they're mine, I don't have to worry about that.
