I, too, have been to the Toledo Zoo and was actually a member when we lived in Michigan. This is a WONDERFUL zoo. I would recommend this zoo to anyone living in the Toldeo area - and plan to spend an entire day there. GREAT STUFF!!!

did you ever go to the detroit one too? ive been to that one many more times, especially when i was little. thats a really nice one too!

No, we never made it to the Detroit Zoo when we were up there. Toldeo was closer to Monroe and like I said we were members at Toledo, so we always went there.
Hearing what you have said I wish we had made it up there too. It's surprising we never did though since we are zoo lovers. We have been to a lot of zoos around the country. Two of the big ones that we've been to are the San Diego Zoo, perhaps the best in the world, and the Omaha Zoo last summer, one of the better ones in the country. How can you not love looking at all of thos animals, although I do feel sorry for some as they are penned up in such small places. Which is a good reason to SUPPORT your zoos with visits and membership. This allows for funding, which in turn means, in most cases, better situations for the animals.

ive been to the san diego zoo too. i liked the little ride thing you can go on, so pretty! besides that i didnt really see anything THAT different from the detroit one. it was still nice though.

It was a number of years ago that I was at the San Diego Zoo, so maybe things have changed. I know it has the reputation of being one of the best in the world.
We are heading to WDW next week and we are going to be going to Animal Kingdom, Disney's version of a zoo. Having seen how Disney does everything else I am excited to see how they do a zoo!

The newspapers around here have what's called "CU" which is a photo sharing site, offbranching from the newspaper's sites. Every week they'll pick their favorite and publish it. It's great cause they're hundreds, sometimes thousands to choose from, and they chose one of mine! ;D Oh, the service is also there for them to provide us with more photos from different events, like prom and sporting events. It's really a huge hit. |

thats great congrats!!! hmm i wonder if we have something like that in our paper. closest thing ive ever gotten to that is being in people magazine once but it wasnt for anything i did personally. lol
