Since I got my new camera, I've been playing around with it a little bit (I just got it yesterday). Anyways, I thought it'd be cool if we could have a thread where we show off some of our photos other than just SBTB photos. Here are a few...they're nothing special...I just got the camera yesterday. I went out this afternoon for a few minutes and took some pictures in my front yard. This is a view of my neighborhood from in front of my house...not really anything spectacular, I just took a picture lol: Some weeds that were growing through the the crack of my sidewalk HAHA (I was playing with the focus): And I took this inside (I was testing the lighting/focus)...it's in my shower haha...Yes, very random: Anyways, post your pictures! I would love to see them! ;D

Awesome Barb! Do you love the camera? I can totally see why. You chose to invest in a very good one. Here are some of my recent favorite photos. They were all taken in Feb. at Walt Disney World. (my home away from home.) LOL This is the new Expedition Everest: The Forbidden Mountain attraction at Animal Kingdom This is called a Japanese Honeydue flower, i believe. Or something of that nature...that I found to be so pretty. I took this shot using the "Landscape" mode. The tree of life at Animal Kingdom: I loooove this photo of Mainstreet in the Magic Kingdom! i took this shot using the "night snapshot" mode. And here is another one of Mainstreet..again using "night snapshot": Enjoy! I am a camera geek too! lol

Yes, I love that photo of Main Street. Very nice.
I'm still getting used to the camera...I've never owned a digital camera with this many manual features. Kind of overwhelming, but I'm sure I'll know most of it in no time. I still get some out of focus pictures, but I'm sure in time I can fix that. I probably have something set wrong. Portrait and Landscape mode seems to fix that problem...so if I have something I need to have taken right the first time I'll use one of those for now lol
Oh, and yes, I do LOVE it! Couldn't have chosen a better camera...and it's FAST!

Hey Gang, I thought I would share some of my pics from my trip "Home" last summer. Me (I even look like the ;D Friar there!) and my family at "Home!" My daughter and Piglet at the Character Meal. My favorite Walt Disney character...Pluto! Uncle Walt and Mickey. Uncle Walt and Mickey (closeup) The pics are a little grainy, but have since gotten a newer, better digital camera. Thanks for starting this thread. I think this is a great idea...get to know each other a bit better. I will post more pics later. The ;D Friar

Cool photos, guys - some real photographic talent there! Sadly I haven't been to Disney lately but here are some photos of Italy. I've since moved back to the UK so there are a couple of photos of here too. I'm not a skilled photographer but I love capturing the places I go on camera. Yay for digital cameras - and yay for me figuring out Image Shack! The Ponte Vecchio in Florence, where I studied Italian, Art History and Cinematography. 'Field of Miracles' in Pisa - Leaning Tower in the background, which I climbed! More of Pisa... The 'Bailey' - one of the older streets in Durham, where I currently study. Many of the buildings, including a Norman castle and cathedral, date back to the 12th century. More England...Bamburgh Castle that I visited the other day. As you can see, I like buildings! ;D Right, that's enough of me!! Anybody else? Kim XXX Edited: I can't spell!

Hey Gang, Here are some more pics from our Florida trip last year. These are taken in and around the WDW Resort The Boardwalk. The ;D Friar The front of our Resort The Disney carpet in the resort. Can you guess who's feet these are? This is on the backside of the resort - the boardwalk. This is my niece with one of the street magicians. This is a sunset across the lagoon on the backside of our resort. Here is another shot of that same sunset with the added bonus of the water taxi backing out to go to either Epcot or MGM. This is the back side of our resort The Boardwalk overlooking the lagoon. At night we could sit on the balcony of our room and watch the Epcot fireworks! This is one of the restaurants on the boardwalk.
