I wonder if they will provide a list for the deleted scenes that they have done on the DVD'S. It then gives us what scenes we are missing so we can keep our video reordings of certain episodes

I would like one too, but it'll never happen. Reason? If they do, its like saying they produce crappy ass DVD's.(Which is somewhat true).

Maybe we should start a petition demanding full episodes, then send it to Lions Gate when we get enough signatures. LG is notorious for releasing syndicated episodes. I'm not sure if they were involved in The Cosby Show or Roseanne DVDs, but there is much outcry from the fans about the fact that the episodes released are syndicated. It's worth a shot...

We need to write into the site. We were given syndicated episodes and I want an explanation.

That is extremely interesting. This can help and prevent future releases of TV shows on DVD being "sloppy". It sure helped when it came down to the season 5 cover. I think they are taking a right direction. I support what they plan to do.

that's an interesting article Barb.
it says that ppl are dissapointed at the Cosby Show DVDs, i think i'm dissapointed in SBTB DVDs (tho good, but could be better!) b/c it seems that Lions Gate made no effort besides copying it on a DVD. how come they dont show ANY bloopers, or dont have commentaries in most of the episodes (none in Season 1 and 2 esp), and no special feature.
it's weird too because seasons 1-4 have the same dvd interactive main menu, but season 5 is completely different. i love season 5's layout, it's very refreshing, but it's just inconsistant w/ season 1-4. if they plan to make it interesting and unique, they should change the menu layout for every seaon so it's not so odd.
do you guys have the Friends DVDs? i have seasons 1-9, and those are pretty good in terms of having lots of special feature, having commentaries, and consistant main menu nagavation.
************ oh, i have a question: how do you guys know if a scene is 'missing' or something is "sydicated version'. to me it seems alright, i coudln't tell if the episodes are the sydicated version. so interesting!

I can tell because I saw them during their original run on NBC and other syndicated versions who kept episodes as a whole. I am sure most people have the same experience.

there are no more eps to demand for... lol... unless u want all seasons re released again... which is kinda dumb It's not "dumb" at all, I would much rather have the episodes re-released than live with this syndicated junk. Just because they finished releasing the series doesn't mean they can't release it again, but doing it RIGHT. We should all contact TvShowsonDVD.com, and check the Home Theater Forum that is linked to it as well. We paid money for these episodes, and should not receive the episodes that are aired on TV everyday. We should get the original, uncut versions.

browneyedgirl523, I agree with you 100% as well! I have other shows on DVD and they have the ENTIRE episode, nothing cut, and they have commentary. Now the commentary would have to depend on if the people that worked on the show want to do that, but I agree with everything else you said! There is no reason why they can't re-release this! I'm with you 100%

yep, i mean im happy to watch any sbtb, butsyndicated episodes are pointless, how much extra space would full versions have taken and really when theres material avalable why is it being held back?

Erika, you are right. I watched it when it originally aired and one of my local stations picked it up a few years ago and the station showed it in its entirety. I taped every episode. I still have those ones on tape and I won't be taping over them anytime soon!
